On Monday, September 12, 2022, the Irish Aid/ H.E. Padraig Francis Ambasador of Ireland embassy in Jakarta visit to office of TRIPLE-F in Central Java. Irish Aid is the Irish -based development agency that supported TRIPLE-F’ project implementation. The purpose of the visit was to provide project teams, from the Ireland Embassy in Jakarta with a first-hand look at the conditions faced by children group and TRIPLE-F teams particularly young girls in remote area. By witnessing the situation directly, it is hoped that Irish Aid/Ireland Embassy can gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics and challenges of the TRIPLE-F project beyond what usually appears on the reports and other reading materials.
H.E. Mr. Pádraig Francis both are Ambasador in Jakarta visited Central Java after their previous activities in Surakarta Central Java. Mr. Francis arrived in Salatiga in the morning on September 12, 2022, and we met for lunch. During lunch, we talked about the general update of the project, highlighting the context of community based, particularly island of Nyamuk, two out of two villages where project is implemented. We talked about the challenges in managing the project from village to global levels, noting the positive reception from local governments but significant grassroots challenges, especially the difficulties faced by survivor of child marriage, especially young girls in coastal areas of Nyamuk Island.
