TRIPLE-F is marking the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence from 25 November to 10 December 2024, under the global theme set by the UN Secretary-General’s campaign: “Towards 30 years of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action: UNiTE! Invest to Stop Violence Against Girls and Women! #No excuses.” In Indonesia, violence against women and girls remains one of the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violations in the community level. Despite many countries passing laws to combat violence against women, weak enforcement and discriminatory social norms remain significant problems.
