Values

Since the beginning of the TRIPLE-F movement, our fundamental values have been intersectional feminism, respect, courage, diversity & inclusion, radical transparency and integrity, accountable and bodily autonomy. These values belong together and, combined, they form a moral compass to build young feminist progressive societies. We are committed to fighting for social justice, growth and jobs for youth, clear rules for the financial sector and human rights and sustainable development in Indonesia. We are working to shape progressive Indonesian policies and make Indonesia work for its people. We have come a long way and continue our fight for a better, more progressive Indonesia. Let’s work for democracy, freedom, equality, peace and justice. Let’s work for a better Indonesia, together!

As part of our work, TRIPLE-F is committed to:

  • Intersectional Feminism; we understand that oppression is structural, intersectional, and multi-faceted and therefore we support work that addresses multiple layers of oppression as they are lived by those most impacted.
  • Respect: Everything we do is built on a foundation of understanding and respect for the values, beliefs, knowledge, and capabilities of our staff, our local partners, and the people we serve.
  • Courage: We go where others often won’t—among the most marginalized populations, in the most challenging environments, and in the hardest-to-reach regions—and do what others often don’t—confronting obstacles head-on and challenging the status quo—to achieve our mission.
  • Embracing Diversity & Inclusive ; We know that collectively, we are wiser and stronger. We are dedicated to forging strong partnerships with all who share our vision, based on respect, trust and solidarity and centring the leadership of those most affected by injustice
  • Impartiality: We hold central the tenet of impartiality, which underpins our unique capacity to act as a neutral facilitator to support the cooperative development of the TRIPLE-F mechanism through objective, reliable information and interactive dialogue
  • Working with Radical Transparency & Integrity; by acting from radical transparency, we will share what we are learning and how we plan to act within the girls, young women and trans* youth rights community. We reject structural supremacist tendencies towards secrecy and perfectionism in our strategies. We earn the trust of supporter/donors, partners, governments, and the people we serve by rigorously measuring performance, sharing our results, and holding ourselves accountable
  • Committed to being Accountable; We recognise that we are in community with others and are accountable to those we share this work with. We commit to openness in giving and receiving feedback, transparency and power-sharing in our decision-making, and honesty in our communications, to Young Feminist; building a dynamic funder community dedicated to solidarity and learning, rooted in a powerful constituency of children and youth, and working courageously at the intersection of youth power, organising, and children’s rights.
  • Bodily Autonomy, We celebrate everyone’s right to choose their identities, relationships, goals, work, dreams and pleasures, and what they do with their mind, body and spirit. We believe in working towards access to resources, information and safe and enabling environments that allow this to happen.
